The United States Coast Guard has classified NWFF Environmental as an Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO) for Coastal and Inland Waterway, River, and Canal Environments. Additionally, the State of Washington Department of Ecology has designated NWFF Environmental as a Primary Response Contractor.
NWFF Environmental has three offices strategically positioned in Astoria, Portland, and Philomath, Oregon. The primary response areas that we are capable of covering are any land, near-shore, harbor, and beach locations. NWFF Environmental has dedicated oil spill vessels, thousands of feet of spill containment equipment, multiple skimmers, and a vast amount of portable storage to effectively respond to any incidents that may arise.
As a pro bono (non-fee) service to our clients, NWFF Environmental offers Spill Response Agreements. These are pre-signed authorizations between NWFF Environmental and our clients to expedite responses to emergencies that may arise. These agreements drastically reduce response times by pre-establishing lines of communication between us and any of our clients that handle petroleum or hazardous materials. Faster response times minimize qualitative and quantitative impact on the environment and surrounding communities, as well as reduces costs by allowing NWFF to contain a spill before it becomes any larger than necessary..JPG)
