HAZMAT TECHNICIAN

 

Duties

●Performing environmental clean up operation in and out of energized power substations in close proximity to electrical distribution equipment and electrical equipment         

●Commercial vehicle operations, both CDL and non CDL required

●Skilled equipment operator includes but not limited to forklift, hand tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and gas powered) and heavy equipment (excavators, loaders and backhoes).

●Oil spill response

●Deploying, removing, and processing of absorbent materials

●Driving / positioning company vehicles

●Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

 

●Legal to US

●Submitted driving record for past three years

●Pre-employment drug test

●TWIC (preferred)

●HAZWOPER (training available)

●Ability to lift 50 pounds

●Strong safety values

●Available to work any day of the week and weekends

●Available for after hour emergency response

●Ability to work in a fast pace environmental while satisfying customer needs and maintaining effective working relationships

●Ability to work with a team or independently

●Ability to work under pressure and achieve required deadlines

●Environmental response/hazardous materials cleanup experience (preferred)
